Day 1 : Arrival Delhi
Arrive
Delhi , Meet assist at the airport & transfer to hotel. Night stay in
Delhi.
Day 02 : In Delhi
Full Day city tour of the Capital includes India gate , president house,
red fort , Jama Maszid, Rajghat and Akshardham temple. Back to the hotel for
an overnight stay
Day 03 : Fly Delhi to Varanasi
Morning fly to Varanasi & after check in at the hotel drive to Sarnath,
explore the most impressive site for Buddhist culture / religion where the
Buddha preached his first sermon in the Deer Park and back to hotel for an
overnight stay.
Day 04 : Varanasi to Bodhgaya
Morning sunrise boat ride at river Ganges and after breakfast drive to
Bodhgaya. A long drive will take you Bodhgaya and overnight.
Day 05 : In Bodhgaya
Bodhyaga, where the Buddha attained enlightenment, lies some 102 km further
south. Visit the Mahabodhi temple with its 54-metre high spire, to Day
managed by a joint Buddhist-Hindu committee. It was altered in the 11th
Century, damaged in the 12th and restored in the 19th. The Hindus had taken
over the temple in the 17th Century. King Ashoka erected a shrine near the
bodhi tree where the Buddha attained enlightenment. This was replaced in the
2nd century by the present temple. Under the bodhi tree is the Vajrasana or
diamond throne, a stone slab marking the site where the Buddha was sitting
when he attained enlightenment.
Day 06 : Bodhgaya - Patna
Check out in the morning and drive to Patna en-route visiting Rajgir and
Nalanda. Visit the Gridhakuta Hill by the cable ropeway to see the stupa
built by the Japanese. Nalanda was one of the greatest learning centers of
the world. Upon arrival at Patna, check-in into the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 07 : Patna to Kushinagar
Check out in the morning and drive to Kushinagar en-route visiting
Vaishali. Lord Buddha visited Vaishali five years after his enlightenment
and is also the place where he delivered his last sermon. Explore the
historical monuments and drive to Kucshinagar. check-in into the hotel for
an overnight stay.
Day 08 : Kushinagar to Lumbini
Kushinagar is the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana or
Salvation. Explore the Mahaparinirvana Temple, Sri Lanka-Japan Monastery,
Burmese Chandramani Bhikshu Bharamasala, Chinese Temple, Sri Lanka Japanese
Foundation Meditation Center and Kushinagar Museum. Afternoon proceed to
Lumbini. Cross the border between India - Nepal and check-in into the hotel,
proceed to visit the Ashoka Pillar and Mahamaya Temple. Overnight stay at
Lumbini.
Day 09 : Fly to Kathmandu
Morning explore the site and visit temples. Afternoon you will be
transferred to the airport to board flight for Kathmandu. Assistance upon
arrival and transfer to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10 : In kathmandu
Full Day city tour of the Capital.
Day 11 : Fly to Delhi
Morning you will be transferred to the international airport to board
flight for Delhi. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Evening farewell dinner at the hotel and later transfer to airport.
Day 12 : Departure Delhi
You will be transferred to the international airport to board flight for
onward destination
