Day 01: Arrival Delhi

On
arrival at Delhi, our representative will receive you at the arrival hall of
the airport. Transfer and check-in into the hotel.
In the afternoon, proceed for the sightseeing tour of the city. Your city
tour includes Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana in the old
Delhi area and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Akshardham Temple, Qutub
Minar and Bahai Temple in the New Delhi area.
Day 02: Delhi / Varanasi
Check out and transfer to the airport to board the flight to Varanasi. Upon
arrival, check-in into the hotel. After the lunch, drive to Sarnath Sarnath,
located 6 miles (9 km) from Varanasi, which is the centre of the Buddhist
world, just as Varanasi is that for the Hindu. It was here that Buddha
preached his first sermon, partially recorded on one of its stones. Dhamek
Stupa dating back to 500 AD, is the largest with geometrical ornaments on
its wall. Dharmarajika Stupa was set up by emperor Ashoka to contain the
bodily relics of the Buddha. There is an outstanding museum, worth visiting.
Day 03: Varanasi / Bodh Gaya
Morning Early in the morning, before sunrise, depart for a boat ride on the
sacred Ganges river, where devout Hindus can be seen performing their daily
ablutions. The bathing ghats, over three miles in length, lead down from a
steep bank to the river. They are the soul of the city - here, where the
wavelets of the Ganges lap the last of the stone steps, can be seen young
Hindu men practicing Hatha yoga, older men seated, eyes closed in
medication, Brahmin priests under sunshades, waiting to bless the passing
pilgrims and beggars sitting in serried ranks. Manikarnika burning ghat is
the chief cremation centre of Varanasi. Corpses lined in white silk or linen
are borne on bamboo stretchers to the smoking pyres, where they are
deposited to await their turn. Photography is not usually permitted here.
Check out and drive to Bodh Gaya. Upon arrival, check-in into the hotel.
Visit the Mahabodhi Temple, Mahabodhi Tree, monasteries and the River
Niranjana. Overnight stay at Bodh Gaya.
Day 04: Bodh Gaya / Rajgir / Nalanda / Patna
Check out in the morning and drive to Patna en-route visiting Rajgir and
Nalanda. Visit the Gridhakuta Hill by the cable ropeway to see the stupa
built by the Japanese. Nalanda was one of the greatest learning centers of
the world. Upon arrival at Patna, check-in into the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 05: Patna / Vaishali / Kushinagar
Check out in the morning and drive to Kushinagar en-route visiting
Vaishali. Lord Buddha visited Vaishali five years after his enlightenment
and is also the place where he delivered his last sermon. Explore the
historical monuments and drive to Kucshinagar. check-in into the hotel for
an overnight stay.
Day 06: Kushinagar / Lumbini
Kushinagar is the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana or
Salvation. Explore the Mahaparinirvana Temple, Sri Lanka-Japan Monastery,
Burmese Chandramani Bhikshu Bharamasala, Chinese Temple, Sri Lanka Japanese
Foundation Meditation Center and Kushinagar Museum. Afternoon proceed to
Lumbini. Cross the border between India - Nepal and check-in into the hotel,
proceed to visit the Ashoka Pillar and Mahamaya Temple. Overnight stay at
Lumbini.
Day 07: Lumbini / Sravasti / Lucknow
After the breakfast, check out and drive to Lucknow. En-route, visit
Saheth-Maheth and Jetyan at Sarnath. Long drive will take you to the capital
of Uttar Pradesh and check-in into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 08: Lucknow / Delhi
In the morning, take the city tour visiting Imambara and Rumi Darwaza.
Later in the Day, transfer to the Railway Station to board the train for
Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, transfer to the international airport to board
the flight for the onward destination
