Day
01 : Delhi to Shimla
Transfer From Delhi to Chandigarh by
Shatabdi Express and transfer to Shimla by non A/C car. O/N Hotel.
Day 02 : In Shimla
Shimla the summer capital
of Britishers. Sight seeing of various places in and around Shimla.
O/N Hotel.
Day 03 : Shimla to Sarahan
The
Drive today takes you to the place known for the temple of Goddess Bhima
Kali.174Kms/7 hrs. The village is surrounded by apple orchards and
opposite to the Sarahan you can witness the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak
(5155M).Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Sarahan to Sangla
Early morning
after visit to the holy temple of Godess Bhimakali. Bhimakali Temple, a
wonderful mixture of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. It is very sacred to
both the communities. Later drive to Sangla. Sangla is the most beautiful
valley of Himachal Pradesh, Surrounded by green fields and high mountain
peaks. O/N Camp at Sangla.
Day 05 : Sangla
After
breakfast visit to the Kamru Fort and later excursion to Chitkul village.
Chitkul is a fairy land. The traditional houses, temples, Gompas and the
people of Baspa valley conjure up the perfect image of Shangri La.Evening
back to Sangla. O/N Camp at Sangla.
Day 06 : Sangla to
Kalpa
64 Kms/04 hrs. En route visiting Rekang Peo and the new Buddhist
monastery. One gets excited on witnessing the magic mountains "Kinnar
Kailash" (6050M)* It is said that it changes colors every day with
the change of weather conditions. O/N at Hotel.
Day 07
: Kalpa
After breakfast a walk to a nearby village Ragi
nearly two Kilometers from the hotel which offers a good opportunity to
observe the lifestyle of the inhabitants, its architecture, custom
religion and culture.After lunch walk to the ancient Chini Village for the
Gompa Hubulankar.Evenig free to e3xplore the village life.O/N at Hotel
Day 08 : Kalpa to Nako
(3959M),A distance of
122Kms and six hour drive.Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the
winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period and seeing the
temple of Padamsambhava, the second incarnation of lord Buddha who made
Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas. Overnight Camp near village.
Day 09 : Nako to Tabo
after breakfast
journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas. It is a distance of
64Kms and a drive of three hour. Overnight Hotel Khangsar Tabo
Day 10 : Tabo to Kaza
In the
Morning visit to see the Ajanta s of Himalayas oldest caves on barren
mountains of Tabo enjoying The Thanka paintings, one of the most precious
paintings of Buddhism. Later drive towards Kaza enroute visiting the
Dankar Gompa and Evening Camp at Kaza.
Day 11 : Kaza
After breakfast excursion to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an
altitude of 4205M.After lunch a drive to the highest motorable roar Langza
and enroute visiting the Comik and Hikim village. O/N Kaza.
Day 12 :
Kaza to Keylong
Today is the long drive over majestic Kunzam La pass. Kaza (3600M) to
Chota Dadarpul (3960M) is a tough drive but the different landscapes
enroute makes your journey really adventurous. O/N Hotel at Keylong
Day 13 : Keylong to Sarchu
Over Baralacha Pass.
O/N Camp.
Day 14 : Sarchu to Leh.
O/N Hotel
Day 15 : Leh.
Sightseeing of places in and around
Leh including the Hemis monastery,Shey Thikse,Leh Palace,Shanti Stupa.
Day 16 : Leh
Excursion to Alchi and Lamayuru .O/N
Hotel
Day 17 :
Leh to Delhi by Air
Wash and Change at the hotel and day free and
intime Transfer to catch the International flight.
The Himalayas are not mere rocks and snows
but an ubfailing storehouse of adventure and beauty.
