Destination - Chandigarh - Manali - Rohtang Pass -
Shimla - Chandigarh
Day 01 : Chandigarh Manali
Pick
up from Railway station and proceed to Manali. A journey of approx . 8
hours will take you to the town. On arrival check in at hotel and
Overnight.
Day 02 : Manali
After breakfast proceed to city tour of Manali..
Hidimba Devi Temple or Dhungri Temple is one of the most important
temples in the region.
Mountaineering Institute
Provides training facilities for basic and advance climbing both for
Indian nationals and foreigners. Institute conducts other adventurous
sports activities like high altitude trekking, minor mountaineering,
rock-climbing, skiing, and high altitude rescue and relief courses.
Manu Temple
Manali is named after the sage Manu who meditated when he came in this
area. Tibetan Temple Tibetans have a base in Manali too. There is a large
modern Tibetan temple to the South of the bus stand and also a small
handicrafts centre.
Vashisth Spring
Across the Beas river, about 3 km away from Manali at an altitude of
1,982 meters (6,200 feet), are the natural sulphur springs. The village
itself is perched on a steep hillside across the river Beas.
Day 03 : Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali
Today full day excursion visiting Rohtang Pass (Upto Snow Line in case
Rohtang is closed due to snow fall). Overnight at hotel.
Rahatang Pass is about 51 Kms from Manali at the altitude of 4,111 meters
on the highway to Keylong. There is a lake called Doshohar at the left of
the pass Rohtang pass is a crucial link on the old trade-route and still
the gateway to trans Himalayan lahaul as Zozilla pass is between Kashmir
valley & Ladakh.
Day 04 : Manali - Shimla
Travel by surface from Manali to Shimla. Approx 6 hours drive. Overnight
at hotel.

Day 05 : Shimla
Shimla the state capital of Himachal Pradesh is one of the few places in
the world where an enormous amount of history and heritage has been
distilled into such a small place.
Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties, one can think of.
Dwelling on a panoramic location, the hilly town is surrounded by green
pastures and the spectacular cool hills.
The Ridge
The large space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the
mountain ranges.
Lekkar Bazaar
Popular for its wood crates and souvenirs, this is just off the Ridge.
Jakhoo Hill / Temple
Dedicated to the monkey god, Lord Hanuman
At 2455 m,this is the town's highest peak and a vantage point for
Shimla's famous views. The summit is crowned with a temple dedicated to
Lord Hanuman. The hill is full of paths and narrow roads which are
enjoyable walks.
Other Places of interests are Chadwick Falls, 67 m high : are only really
worth visiting during or just after the monsoons (July to October). The
falls are 7 km from Shimla and can be reached via Summer Hill.Christ
Church & St. Michael's Cathedral.
The second oldest church in northern India, Christ Church was build
between 1846 and 1857. The church is one of the Shimla's major landmarks
and is renowned for its stained glass windows. Indian Institute of
Advanced Study :magnificent English renaissance strudure was the former
Viceregal Lodge. Its lawns and woodland are added attractions.
